We are happy to announce that Giulio Malinverni has been selected by the Galleria d’Arte Moderna Achille Forti – Palazzo della Ragione in Verona, as the winner of this year’s edition of ArtVerona’s Level 0 award.

This important format, now in its ninth edition, invites 22 institutions, including museums and private foundations, to each identify an artist present at the fair to be promoted within the institution’s future programming through an exhibition, an installation, a talk, a publication or a workshop.

Level 0 is supported by an important collaboration with Ashtart, a cultural management company, in the context of the Workshop on the Contemporary and foresees the creation of video interviews that will be published during the following year on ArtVerona’s social channels.

Giulio Malinverni’s research is convincing, moving on several linguistic registers and tracks of art history through an innate ability to draw on the various forms of the past with the respectful determination of wanting to be an artist of and in his own time with all the urgency that his painting intends to express. A technical mastery that does not become virtuosity, but the possibility of entering into the complexity of art with the obsession of the visionary who is interested in searching only within the stylistic elements and orthodoxies of languages, revealing the authentic “sense” of doing. A way of doing that does not end up in the senseless ephemeral, but in the intuition of truth in the energy and tension of painting.

Siamo felici di annunciarvi che Giulio Malinverni è stato selezionato dalla Galleria d’Arte Moderna Achille Forti – Palazzo della Ragione di Verona, come vincitore per l’edizione di quest’anno del premio Level 0 di ArtVerona.

Questo importante format, giunto ormai alla sua nona edizione, invita 22 istituzioni, tra musei e fondazioni private, a individuare ciascuno un artista presente in fiera da promuovere all’interno della programmazione futura dell’istituzione attraverso una mostra, un’installazione, un talk, una pubblicazione o un workshop.

Level 0 è supportato da un’importante collaborazione con Ashtart, società di management culturale, nell’ambito del Workshop sul Contemporaneo e prevede la realizzazione di video interviste che saranno pubblicate durante l’anno successivo sui canali social di ArtVerona.

Una ricerca convincente quella di Giulio Malinverni che si muove su più registri linguistici e binari della storia dell’arte attraverso una connaturata capacità di attingere alle varie forme del passato con la rispettosa determinazione di voler essere un artista del e nel proprio tempo con tutta l’urgenza che la sua pittura intende esprimere. Una padronanza tecnica che non diventa virtuosismo, ma possibilità di calarsi nella complessità dell’arte con l’ossessione del visionario a cui interessa cercare solo all’interno degli stilemi e delle ortodossie dei linguaggi svelando l’autentico “senso” del fare. Un fare che si invera non nell’effimero insensato, ma nell’intuizione della verità nell’energia e tensione della pittura.
