On June 17, at 8:30 pm, on the occasion of the Sonar Festival 2022 (Barcelona, June 16 – June 18) Quayola, together with Seta, will perform live with “Transient”, a performance presented by ME by Meliá.
In this performance, the two prodigies use their four hands to improvise in real-time using complex algorithms. Sound and images are generated simultaneously, creating perfectly synchronised synesthetic alliterations.
The use of two grand pianos and traditional paintings suggests a classical heritage, although, in this case, it is the machines and mathematical functions that are animating both the keys and the canvas, creating abstract, naturalist compositions.

Il 17 Giugno, alle 20:30, in occasione del Sonar Festival 2022 (Barcellona, 16 giugno – 18 giugno) Quayola e Seta esibiranno dal vivo con “Transient“, una performance presentata da ME by Meliá.
In questa performance, i due prodigi usano le loro quattro mani per improvvisare in tempo reale utilizzando algoritmi complessi. Suono e immagini sono generati simultaneamente, creando allitterazioni sinestetiche perfettamente sincronizzate.
L’uso di due pianoforti a coda e di quadri tradizionali suggerisce un’eredità classica, anche se, in questo caso, sono le macchine e le funzioni matematiche ad animare sia i tasti che la tela, creando composizioni astratte e naturaliste.
