Spazio Berlendis is pleased to host The Poetics of Correspondence, the Grenada Pavilion at the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, curated by Daniele Radini Tedeschi.
The exhibition reflects on the idea of correspondence as a poetic and relational practice, exploring the ways in which islands, archipelagos, currents and cultural networks connect meanings, memories, materials and languages.
Rooted in Grenada’s histories of creolisation, diaspora, island ecologies and cultural exchange, the pavilion presents a polyphonic dialogue between local and global perspectives. Through installations, time-based works, archival-inspired interventions and collaborative actions, The Poetics of Correspondence invites visitors to listen to quieter forms of relation, intimacy and resistance.
The project celebrates art as an open process of encounter and mutual transformation, where communities, environments, pasts and possible futures enter into dialogue.
Participating artists include Edward Bowen, Arthur Daniel, Josine Dupont, Alexandra Kordas, Lilo Nido and Chris Mast, Jeverson Ramirez, The Holzwege Group and Russell Watson.
