Stefano Arienti
The exhibition Copertine presents several recent works that explore reflections and formal practices characteristic of Stefano Arienti’s work from the start. Copertine (book cover) is a collections of books that graphically display – reviving geometries and perceptive modes – the images of an ideal “library“, forming an installation consisting of 230 perforated sheets of paper. In the same way the perforations on vinyl records and the artist’s experiments with terra cotta tiles, work poised between painting, drawing, sculpture, invite us to discover the secrets, the complexity, the vitality of the images and simple objects that surround each of us every day.
