Laura Omacini
The Municipality of Montecchio Emilia and the cultural association artMacs present Correzioni, a solo show by Laura Omacini, in collaboration with Marignana Arte.
The artist won the fourth edition of the Massimiliano Galliani Prize for Drawing Under 40, dedicated to drawing and emerging visual research, awarded during the 19th edition of Art Verona. The exhibition is therefore part of this initiative.
As stated in the jury’s citation during the fair: “Laura Omacini’s work demonstrates the full potential that drawing still holds within contemporary expression, in continuity with the past and its traditional heritage, including from a technical standpoint, reinterpreted through a mature vision capable of conveying profound perspectives. Her work reveals a keen attention to detail, to the margins, to the layering of the gaze on the world and on an interiority that engages the viewer, giving rise to complex reflection.”
