Giulio Malinverni
Curated by Roberto Nardi
Libreria Minerva, in Padua, is pleased to present Giulio Malinverni’s exhibition, Gli occhiali appannati. The exhibition, in collaboration with Marignana gallery (Venice), presents a series of unreleased paintings made by the artist specifically for this project, curated by Roberto Nardi.
The title Gli occhiali appannati (Tarnished Glasses) is a metaphor for a double human condition in a dramatic era marked by Covid19: one, of a practical nature, determined, especially during the winter period, by the use of the mask; the other, internal, concerns the situation of uncertainty and fear, of loss of the usual parameters of common living due to the restrictions in the dynamics of interpersonal relationships. In this unfinished pandemic era, where what is possible today may change tomorrow, it seems difficult to find fixed points on which to build a new vision of tomorrow.
