Giulio Malinverni
Consolidating a collaboration that began in 2020, Marignana Gallery is hosting a solo exhibition by Giulio Malinverni. The title chosen by the artist – The Sleeper in the Valley – is that of a famous poem by Arthur Rimbaud, whose verses evoke the conflict between the warm splendour of an ideal and enchanted nature (where the sun shines from the proud mountain) and the frost of death of a soldier fallen in battle, who seems to be sleeping and dreaming lying in that “small valley bubbling with rays”. The exhibition is accompanied by a publication with a critical text by Cristina Beltrami.
