Spazio Berlendis is pleased to host Las Invisibles, the Guatemala Pavilion at the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, curated by Elsie Wunderlich and Stefania Pieralice.
The exhibition draws inspiration from the universe of ancient Mayan cultures, their rituals, practices and forms of knowledge, exploring a vision of life deeply connected to the earth, memory and community.
At the centre of the project are Mayan women: silent guardians of a millenary history, of collective identity and of everyday gestures handed down through generations. Through the symbolic presence of corn, stone, clay and the domestic hearth, Las Invisibles reflects on care, resilience and belonging.
The exhibition gives voice to figures often left unseen, revealing the strength of a feminine universe shaped by memory, spirituality and daily generosity.
Participating artists include ARKEO, Luana Bottallo, Jorge Chavarría, Manuel Navichoc, Ana Lorena Núñez, SOY artistic group and Elsie Wunderlich.
