Greta Ferretti
L’Ambrosia purpurea is Greta Ferretti’s first solo exhibition at Marignana Arte. The title evokes ambrosia, the nectar of the gods that, in ancient tradition, nourishes immortality. Starting from this image, the exhibition explores themes of permanence and transformation through a narrative shaped by returns and recurrences.
Ferretti’s painting unfolds as an inner landscape, drawing on a personal repertoire of circumstances, real and imaginary places, people and destinies. Within a dreamlike and at times enigmatic dimension, seemingly distant elements come together, giving rise to a private mythology in which memory and imagination continuously overlap.
These worlds never fully reveal themselves: figures, images and stories emerge as suspended presences, only to dissolve and reappear in new configurations. L’Ambrosia purpurea thus presents an ever-changing universe, where images and narratives continuously take on new forms.
