Stijn Ank at Academia Belgica, Rome

The solo show STIJN ANK – Poems to Rome opens to public on Wednesday January, 22 at Academia Belgica in Rome.
During his residency at the Academia Belgica Stijn Ank has been working from a different perspective on works of art that are in essence an inquest into the relationship between matter, colour, time and space. Having worked on frescoes at various locations over the years, the opportunity to be in Rome and delve deeper into what he considers to be the core of his artistic endeavours has enabled him to shed a new light on his body of work.
La mostra personale STIJN ANK – Poems to Rome inaugura mercoledì 22 gennaio presso l’Academia Belgica di Roma.
Durante il suo soggiorno all’Academia Belgica Stijn Ank ha creato delle opere d’arte che sono essenzialmente un’inchiesta sul rapporto tra materia, colore, tempo e spazio. Avendo nel corso degli anni lavorato su affreschi in varie località, l’opportunità di stare a Roma e di dedicarsi a quello che per lui è il nocciolo dei suoi impegni artistici gli ha permesso di gettare una nuova luce sulle sue opere.
