Subsidere

Stefano Cescon

From March 27 to May 9, 2026, Marignana Project will host the Stefano Cescon‘s solo exhibition Subsidere.

The exhibition brings together a selection of new works that form part of the research the artist has developed over recent years, centered on the relationship between matter, time, and transformation. Wax, a central material in his practice, is used to question the stability of form and the distinction between painting and sculpture, through stratified surfaces and carefully measured interventions.

The exhibition path offers a direct engagement with material processes; the works do not present narrative images, but rather open visual configurations in which time appears as accumulation, suspension, and variation. In this context, matter becomes the site of a reflection on change and perception, inviting visitors to linger on what is in continual transformation.
